Magnifiche presenze. The Pascoli-d’Annunzio relationship

Magnificent Presences is the artistic project that unites the Casa Museo Giovanni Pascoli of Castelvecchio Pascoli in the province of Lucca and the Foundation Il Vittoriale degli Italiani at Gardone Riviera “for a future of art, literature and beauty”, according to the words of the President of the Vittoriale Prof. Giordano Bruno Guerri. Giovanni Pascoli and Gabriele d’Annunzio had strong ties of friendship and antagonism. In the complex intrigue of a little known relationship, made of contradicting sentiments, the two poets were bound by a contrasting emulation which was also the testimonial of a society and crucial era of our history.
