Whoever was having a walk up to the Duomo this morning and passed by the end of the Ser Barghesano Square was definitely in for quite an Easter surprise. In fact, the dividing wall between the square and the Vicolo del Sole was to be found on the ground, destroyed by an accident with the debris left awaiting it being rebuilt.

A lady who was passing was asked about the accident, and immediately told us that the rubbish van was left for a moment and proceeded to run into the corner of the wall and flattened it as can be seen from the photograph.

Most certainly the stones might have been picked up and the area could at least have been cleaned up.

We can only hope that soon the wall will return to its former state, beautiful in its simplicity.

With Easter round the corner this walk is well used, especially with tourists. For this reason, we sincerely hope that the area will be cleaned up soon.
