The new summer season has started in Barga that for the town means festivals, concerts, exhibitions, literary presentations and social gatherings: an awakening moment for our community that corresponds to an important increase in tourism.
Hundreds of tourists will flock here not only attracted by the natural and architectural beauty but also by the interesting initiatives and traditions Barga has to offer.
For this reason, the local paper Giornale di Barga decided to create a free travel guide for the tourist, in place of the traditional summer monthly editions, of all the main events programmed in the territory prior to publishing and indications of where to eat and drink, sleep and do shopping. The guide also gives information on places to visit and other curiosities.
InBarga is a complete Barga summer guide of the next four months full of useful and interesting information for the tourist. 48 pages in Italian and 48 in English with the main summer events and advice on what to do, where and when.
Giornale di Barga launched the idea, absolutely essential for the town, and the innovative project was successfully carried out thanks to the synergy created by those who strongly believed in it; Marco Tortelli responsible for graphics, layout and corresponding web-site, Giulia Paolini who took care of advertising and presented the project to many companies listed in the guide, Sonia Ercolini responsible for the translations in English; many local economical entities in various sectors that invested in the InBarga project through advertising, local associations and the Town Hall that supplied the valuable calendar of dates and events to complete the guide; The Fondazione Ricci and Società Benemerita Giovanni Pascoli that materially sponsored the publication of the guide.
3.000 copies of InBarga published and distributed in all the main tourist points in the Province and as mentioned before, InBarga is now also available online at www.inbarga.it or www.inbarga.com (optimised for mobiles), where one can find all the material published in the guide regarding events and places. With virtual InBarga the tourist will always be in contact with what’s going on and updated immediately on new events or changes on programmed ones. A valid and essential instrument to totally appreciate the “Barga experience” at any time of day or place.
One can consult all the proposals of inBarga online or in the published guides now available in the area or directly at the Giornale di Barga office.
Giornale di Barga unfortunately had to put a deadline, well in advance, for sponsors and advertising requests of many local companies due to lack of space. It is possible however to advertise on the online version of the guide by contacting the editor at 0583 723003 – redazione@giornaledibarga.it.
The same thing applies to all events not present in the published version by sending the editor information on new appointments or events to update the web-site www.inbarga.it (also www.inbarga.com ).
Giornale di Barga wishes everyone happy reading and above all Happy Summer in Barga!
