Summer is almost over, the days are getting shorter and the evenings cooler, Barga is slowly getting back to its normal laid back routine … but let’s not despair as we still have the last food festival in Filecchio to enjoy which this year will go on until mid-September.

Three weekends to taste the delicious polenta made from the Garfagnana flour “otto file” and other specialities. Food is served every weekend until the 15th September from 7.30 pm while on Sundays you can also enjoy lunch there from 12.30. There will be a special “Stinco” night on Wednesday 4th September with roast pork shin and potatoes – reservations only.

After dinner you can enjoy live music and dancing and lots of fun and games for the children.
Other special events have also been organised for the occasion: on Sunday 1st September the MTB “Rampicchino” for young Mountain Bike competitors. In the afternoon at 4 pm the ASD Lancio di Formaggio Lucca will entertain you with the 25 kg cheese throwing competition “Tiro della Forma di Parmigiano da 25kg”.

While on Sunday 8th the 20th edition of MTB Filecchio with the best bikers in the area. In the morning there will be a parade and exhibition of tractors and agricultural machines along with the 5th vintage car and motorbike gathering “Memorial Adolfo Notini”.
