According to the local authority, the 2013 edition of the festival “Live in Barga” has definitely been a success. During the first days of the festival, there were more than 10,000 visitors, entertained by the high standard performances and events scheduled.
“This is one of the most attended and enjoyed editions of the festival”, said Mayor Bonini. “I am extremely satisfied with the results of this first weekend: we have made the right choices as the high number of visitors proves. This success is due to the wide series of programmed events, ranging from culture to gastronomy, not to mention all the gigs held in the all the squares of the old town centre. Mainly, visitors appreciate the high quality of these events. We therefore thank those who have collaborated with our administration: BargaJazz Club and Pro Loco amongst all”, he added.
Live in Barga is still on, and there are a lot of days ahead. Visitors will be able to enjoy gigs while sampling wonderful local products in different parts of the old town, perhaps even visiting the market or one of the exhibitions. We remind you that for the whole length of the festival it is possible to visit exhibitions held by: Keane (Civic Museum), Marco Poma (Pancrazi Palace), Sandra Rigali (“Le Stanze della Memoria” Museum) and CAI (Municipal Gallery).
Despite the crisis, this 11days-long festival has managed to be a success for the summer in Barga and in the whole Serchio Valley. Do not miss this out!
