Sign up now for the latest project of the CoCAIS – the Grande Festa della Befana. The event is open to children aged eight and under and is to be held at Scotland Street School Museum in Glasgow on the Feast of the Epiphany, Sunday January 4 from 2-5pm.
Numbers are limited so it is essential to book a place early. To do so please visit the website www.italianscotland.com and under the “Events” section you can download an application form which should be completed and returned with a cheque for £5 per child to Cav. Adriano De Marco, 58 Beardmore Way, Clydebank Industrial Estate, Clydebank, Glasgow G81 4HT.
Cost will be subsidised allowing the £5 to cover a present and a calza ripiena (stocking filled with sweets). Accompanying adults can enjoy a glass of festive spumante and a slice of panettone while the children eat, greet La Befana (who will attend in all her splendour!) and enjoy meeting new friends.
The whole event is in English but is a great opportunity for the wee ones to enjoy Italian customs.
