COMITES: Important information for Italian Citizens in Scotland

The Italian Government, as part of its outreach to, and liaison with Italian citizens living abroad, has established for many years that a committee be elected in each area to represent the Italian community and work with the consulate to promote the good of the Italian community in the host country. Such committees are entitled COMITES – Comitato per gli Italiani all’Estero.You can find out more about the work of the Scottish COMITES at their website – www.comites.org.uk The time has come to renew such committees throughout the world and election will be held later this spring to do this. It is right and fitting that Italian citizens living in Scotland should participate and vote. In order to do so you need to register with the consulate by March 18.
